Color Laserjet Pro MFP 479fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product: Color Laserjet Pro MFP 479fdw

Problem description: PDF output from the ADF is skewed, tilted, crooked.

  1. Brand new MFP. Upon first setup, noticed tilted PFD output.
  2. Using HP Smart app > scan from ADF > observe the preview is not tilted at all > select PDF output > the output file is noticeably tilted.
  3. If I scan from ADF and select JPG output, the output is not tilted at all.
  4. If I copy from the ADF, the output is not tilted at all.
  5. If i scan from scanner glass to PDF, the output is not tilted at all.

Since JPG output is correctly aligned, this makes me think it's a software issue and not hardware. but I'm not sure.

Scan to PDF is one of my main use cases, and I need professional-looking output.

Anyone able to assist? Thanks in advance!
