HP M402n
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

As per the manual for the HP402n, tray two, when printing single-sided, is supposed to have pre-printed letterhead/forms oriented printed side up , top of page to the front of tray 2, so that it prints to the correct side.

This printer was selected *based* on that manual information, so if that is not the case, it will be returned as not being compliant with its specs.  At the moment, when paper is put in in that orientation, it prints on the other side, positioned correctly with respect to vertical axis, but on the back side.  We need this printer to print on collated, pre-numbered checks/stubs which *require* that the printer take the cheques in order. top to bottom, in the upwards-pointing orientation.  We *could* do this with the manal feed tray, but when larger check runs are done, we have to keep feeding cheques and force the printer to wait by removing tray 2.

Can someone explain why such a simple detail would either be wrong in the manual, causing people to purchase the wrong printer, or why there doesn't appear to be a way to change the print orientation.
