I believe this is a firmware issue/bug that needs to be fixed. I have a Netgear R7000 router and whenever we reboot it, the printer looses its IP address and the screen shows an exclamation on the connection.  To 'fix' it, we have to either reboot the printer or turn WiFi Off/On again. It's not critical but a pain in the ***. I can't believe HP didn't find this quirk before releasing the printer. On the printer, I have disabled IPv6, wifi direct and airprint. Originally, I had it obtain an IP address through DHCP but once I noticed the IP loss behavior, I assigned a fixed IP from the router but that didn't fix it. All firmware on the router and printer are the latest.

I have worked with a technical support representative and they had me turn the ethernet speed negotiation to 100TX Full and to shut off IPv6 which had no effect. The first one is funny because it only applies to ethernet connections but go figure.

Hopefully someone here can recreate this issue and it'll get elevated so it'll be fixed in the next firmware release.
