My MFP M283fdw is still running on its original toner cartridges 3+ months after it first complained that one was running low. I've set the 'Very Low Setting' to Continue and it is now on 1750 pages black and 1233 colour pages, and still going (using the old 'shake the cartridge' that I've always done when faded stripes appear).
What concerns me in these days of saving the planet is that I could have put my replacement toners (sitting ready still in their boxes) in months ago for no reason! How does that work if I've signed up of the Plus (or whatever it is) automatic ink/toner supply? Is this just a money-maker for HP, he asks cynically?
