Hi there,
I just wanted to leave some feedback for HP on their (my?) product. I don't know how to give product feedback to them any other way.
Over all, I'm really happy with my MFP M479fdw. But there are two things that bother me:
- The Fan: Why must the fan(s) run when only the display is on? If they are finally of and you only touch anything on the touchscreen, the fans spin up. Why? The machine is so nicely quite when printing, but in standby... Only when it really goes to sleep it's quiet.
- Quick Sets (for scanning to network, etc.): It's nice that I can configure Quick Sets in the printer's EWS. I can even copy a Quick Set and reconfigure the copy. Nice! But WHY ON EARTH has nobody at HP thought about a way to order them? Lets say I have 3 Quick Sets for scanning to network: a) PDF High Quality b) PDF Medium Quality c) JPG High Quality. If I add another PDF Quick Set I it comes after the JPG Quick Set. When modifying a Quick Set, sometimes things move around on their own also. The sequence in the EWS configuration page has nothing to do with the sequence it is displayed on the device's touchscreen. So PLEASE make the sequence the same on the EWS and the printer AND put buttons like "up" and "down" in the EWS so the user can move things around.
