I first noticed misaligned pages. The documents began printing at a significant angle and sometimes off the paper. I've used the same paper for years and never updated anything. Shortly after, I began getting paper mismatch errors even though I had always used the same paper.

To try and fix the problem I updated the firmware to 20180205 through my Mac. Since then the printer constantly refuses to print. I get constant paper mismatch errors. Prompts to install the correct paper size when it is already installed. Sometimes it will ask for 'letter' when I have always used A4. I would never choose letter for sizing in any setting; why would it prompt it?

The paper is coming out creased at the sides and at an angle with nothing printed on it. I get an error prompt on the screen after attempting each print. I tried different paper which I believe is 120gsm and occasionally the laserjet will print but still at an angle. This paper is not ideal for general tasks, it's too thick. I've been using 80gsm for years and what I prefer. Even still, the prints when they do come out, are not straight.

I've tried setting everything to A4 and print all or the light paper option, makes no difference. I've tried updating/resetting the settings through both the touch screen and connected to my computer. Pulling the power cord and off switch for at least 60 seconds etc. Nothing works. Is my printer dead? Why is it behaving like this? I'm a very light user, still using the original cartridge. Networking and everything else seems to be responding, it just won't print properly. Can I  somehow completely restore the printer to factory default? Please help.
