HP Deskject 2540
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I have an hp desket 2540 that's been working fine for a good amount of time. A few days ago, a suddenly got the blinking light on the cartridge image under the screen and a message on the pop up screen when i tried to print that my black cartridge was not being recognized (if was fine for many months). I went and bought another black 301 ink cart. When I installed it i got the same error message. I tried many solutions bu none worked.  I decided to update the firmware to de newest version, and Voila, the new black ink cartridge worked. So I thought maybe the other one wasn't yet empty, so I put the old one back.

I got the same error again, that the  cartridge wasn't being recognized. So I put the new one in place, but still got the same message, as you ca see bellow. the cartridge is genuine and brand new.

What can i do to Solve this problem. bear in mind that where i am from the ink cart. is about 40 dollar a piece.
