Product: MFP M281fdw
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

While making a copy on my < 1 year old HP device, I recieved a scanner error 17 and instructions to shut down and restart.  A simple power down did not clear the error.  I also tried to unplug the device while on and wait a few minutes.  This is also not clearing the error.  However, I have noticed that the device is now alternating between scanner error 17 and scanner error 23.  

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver on my mac.  I am getting a message that my "printer has critical errors" and will not print.  Help!  Is my printer useless??!?!?!?!
