Product: HP Deskjet 1055 J410 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Last month, Oct 2020, my HP Deskjet J410 Printer stopped printing from my iMac running macOS Catalina 10.15.7, and I got error messages that my OS would be damaged if I printed. There was no option to override. When I went to HP Support, the page identified the problem, and stated that I should uninstall the printer driver, and then re-install a printer driver from HP. I followed the instructions to uninstall the driver successfully, but when I went to install a new driver from HP (Mountain Lion 10.12) that they said was appropriate, I got a message "HP Installer app" "needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information." How can I find an updated printer driver, or use my printer?
