Product: Scanjet 8300
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra
I have the Scanjet 8300, which I got brand new a couple of months ago. I'm trying to scan in some negatives, but the software is giving me an error of:
Error
In order to scan positives or negatives the Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA) needs to be attached. Please attach the TMA or check that the scanner lid cable is connected to the back of the scanning device. Try scanning again
I have turned it off/on, reattached all the cables, even updated the scanner firmware to v1.45. I even tried it on my Windows 7 machine, and it gives the same error. Is there something I should be looking at or has anyone had a similar problem that they managed to fix?
