Samsung M2020W
Microsoft Windows XP

I have ny Samsung M2020W connected via USB to an old computer I use for document storage. I also have the Samsung Print app on my Android. As an aside, I can only connect to my printer via Wifi Direct on the app - Wi-Fi itself won't setup as I don't have a password (how to reset it?)

After connecting and printing through my smartphone, and disconnecting the Wi-Fi, I am unable to print through the wired printer connection. It gives me a connection error message. Restarting the printer and computer doesn't always fix this. I have no idea why a printer can't handle being connected to one wired and one wireless device at the same time, but I understand this is the case. However, why it continues to fail even after wireless os disconnected is baffling. Unplugging and plugging back in the USB results in a "not recognized" message. This printer has been nothing but trouble for me.
