My printer is not recognising my black 664 cartridge. I replaced my last cartridge with a new one and I am getting a flashing sign on the  printer display indicating  that the cartridge is empty. However,  it is full of ink because it is new and I just bought it.

I have followed the online troubleshooting steps (cleaned the cartridge heads, power cycled the printer etc etc) but it is still not working. Trying to get help through the online support  virtual chat just goes round in circles. Please can anyone advise how I might solve this problem or do I have to get a replacement cartridge ? Also, how can I avoid this problem from happening in the future? I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks
