Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't think of a thing other than hardware issue or installing the new HP Smart Utility.  I've removed a recent pdf writer software that should be unrelated and that did not help. I have tried power off cycling. It WILL turn on directly after replugging it it at the power chord. Then warns of "improper shutdown may cause damage" ... and shut itself off.
