HP Envy 4520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! I've searched through the forum, but none of the issues seem to match my problem exactly so I'm making a new post.

I have an HP Envy 4520 printer that is connected to my computer over a wireless network. It used to be able to scan just fine from the glass flatbed to my computer. On the printer screen, I used to be able to press "Scan" and then "Scan to [computer name]" or "Scan to [computer name] as a PDF." However, now when I try to scan to my computer using any of the printer menu options, it never starts scanning, just says "Connecting..." for a long time before finally telling me the scan was unsuccessful and to install the scanning software on my computer. However, I know the printer is connected to the computer, because printing from the computer to the printer works just fine and I can scan from the printer to the computer using HP Smart, but not from the printer itself. I have to open HP Smart on my laptop, then select Scan.

Per advice on other posts, I have uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart. I can scan from the printer to the computer using the Scan option in HP Smart, but I still can't do it from the printer itself. Does anyone know how to fix this?
