HP Recommended
HP Envy 5660
Microsoft Windows 11

My color cartridge was running low and I had a big photo printing project to complete. So I put in a brand new HP color cartridge. Everytime I printed--whether wirelessly or wired--the images had a purple tint.  I researched and read all the recommendations from HP's virtual assistant as well as the HP community. So I cleaned my cartridge heads multiple times, aligned my printer multiple times, checked the color balance on my software program and nothing worked.  I tried saving files as jpeg, PDF, etc.  Nothing worked.  The only other solution provided by HP was "replace your printer."

Instead, I ran out and bought another HP color ink cartridge.  So after wasting hours of my time, reams of photo paper, I discovered the "new" HP color ink cartridge that I previously installed was the cause of the purple haze issue.

This is now my THIRD color ink cartridge that has malfunctioned.  Very COSTLY and extremely aggravating.  I hope this might help someone else find a solution more quickly than I did.
