OfficeJet 7610 series 1

"HP Utility will damage your computer" window popped up while I was trying to print.  I then went to HP website and downloaded a new driver.  I thought that would solve the problem.  However, when I try to print,  a pop-up window (on the printer itself) says....."There is a problem with the ink or print system.  Turn printer off and on.... if this doesn't resolve issue, contact HP...."  Long story short, I cannot reach HP and its well-armored customer service dept and the Virtual Chat is proving useless.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
