I am trying to develop software to scan document accessing printer from the internet. All is good up to the point that I have to open few ports in firewall that is on the border or the network. After long research I found that I can use REST (recently introduced) not the SOAP that SDK is using by default. As I understand REST does not require more ports than default either 80 or 443 available for communication.
Unfortunately I can not find much more information,
- is there any documentation that would help?
- will I have the same functionality for scanning
any tips from anyone that either knows or tried that already?
any help would be appreciated
thank you very much
