I have the same problem. After a few exchanges with "experts" at HP, I was told that the problem could not be solved. This is simply a matter of not knowing the id/pw to log into the EWS, a situation that this "expert" does not seem to understand. I find it ridiculous that HP cannot provide a solution.
Update just after I posted the above:
The problem first occurred some time ago,but I thought that I would have another look after giving up at that time, due to the lack of a solution. I do not know what solved my problem, but this time I began with a firmware update, and then reset network settings after seeing a response in another thread, as follows:
Recommend you restore the network settings to factory defaults to reset the network settings and check. Page number 7 in the user manual. Click here for the user manual of your printer.
1. Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status menu.
2. Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless Settings menu.
3. Select Restore Defaults.
4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.
This required reconnecting the printer to the router. Once I did that, when I went into settings, Security - Password settings popped up and I was able to reset the password (delete it) by leaving it empty. I am certain that I had tried the reset/reconnect before. I can only guess that it was the firmware upgrade that made the difference. I took those steps while connected to a Win 7 desktop. After that EWS was again accessible from my Chromebook.
