The instructions did not solve my HP Envy 4500 connection problem.  I can't print and get an error notice on all attempts.  I no longer have my printer's special USB cord, so I can only connect wirelessly.  I went through all the instructions here, trying to connect the software wirelessly, but the software did not 'find' my network, even though my printer is connected to my wireless network.  So I have a connected printer and a connected laptop, but no software to connect the printer to my laptop.  I'm on the same banded home network.  BTW, I've noticed for several months that the HP Envy 4500 printer shows up in my Network Places, for some reason and with a yellow "!" mark.  I don't know why I'm seeing that, as I certainly didn't use to see it in my available networks. I've deleted all HP software/drivers/temp folders, as instructed.  I downloaded from the link you gave here.  That was not successful.  I've restarted my laptop many times; restarted my HP printer many times; restarted the printer's wireless network many times.  Everything is live and working except for the connection between my laptop print job and my printer. So, what are my options to actually print something again from this printer?
