HP Recommended

I have a problen with my printer printing only black and white as well  {HP officejet 6500A Plus].

I was told it was because I was using non HP ink.I am not using non HP ink so >>>>or it was from firmware download {i receved this update fromHP updates}

I ordered new ink to see if this is this could be the problem the ink status showes full but ... I have not received them yet.I will return when I know more.
