Hello, 

 

I recently purchased HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw and I am trying to configure the printer to print to an Airport Extreme share. However I am experience issues with the configuration. I am putting the same exact credentials I would put on a Windows computer to connect to the share without any luck. I enabled SMB1 v1 / CIFS.

Network Path : \\airport-extreme.local\elements\scans

User Name: airport-extreme (I also tried airport-extreme.local\airport-extreme)

Password: airport-extreme password

Vague error: Network error. Check the printer's network connection and try again.

I don't believe the issue is on the AirPort Extreme but more on the printer side. These same credentials can be typed into Windows and I would not connect simply because Windows 1909 does not support SMBv1 shares. But it clearly states in the message why it would not connect. It is not because the information is invalid. How can we get HP to fix that problem.
