Scanjet N6350
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

my customer has a few HP Scanjet N6350 network scanners (Scanner Firmware Version 6350_2.0.9.9, Network Module Firmware Version 1.28.4.0).

He has client computers running Windows 7 64-bit (Czech) with statically assigned IP addresses. The client computers' hardware is Lenovo M800z, and they were installed by cloning from the master image, which contains all the software needed on the client, including the "HP Scanjet N6350 Networked Document Flatbed Scanner Full Feature Software and Driver" (installed from file setup_full_N6350_14-5.exe).

The problem is, when a new client computer is configured for scanning on a 6350 network scanner, it's IP address (as reported on the scanner's web interface under Information - Status - Usage - Connected Clients ) is randomly changing there upon the web page refresh. The IP addresses shown there seem to be randomly picked from the IP adresses of other client computers (not yet configured for network scanning). If a process "HpNetDrv.exe" is killed on the other not-configured computers, their IP addresses are not being picked up there.

Consequently, when that lastly configured user tries to scan from the scanner (using the device's control panel), nothing happens. On the other hand, if the scan is initiated from the client computer, it is performed OK.

I will be grateful for any advice.
