HP Color LaserJet MFP M577
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! I hope everyone's OK out there.

Straight to the issue: We have approx. 10 HP Color Laserjet MFP M577 and we've been instructed to set the default printing to black and white to save ink. We did that by going to Copy/Print > Restrict color > Main color setting > Disable color. However, there are people in certain departments that cannot print black and white for obvious reasons. Therefore, we need to give permission to those people to print in color. We haven't figured out how to do this.

I have tried this:

What I understand from the configuration in this picture above is that if no user has signed in into the printer, it will print black and white. However, it is not the case. Whatever I send with this config is printed colored.

The "weird" thing is that, with the exact same configuration, when I go to printer and try to copy sheets, it does require to sign in for me to be able to copy said sheet in color:

I can't understand why it still continues to print in color when it's supposed to be restricted (require sign in) by default; and as you can see, in the copy menu it does require the user to sign in if they want to copy in color. Can someone please help me out this this?
