HP LaserJet MFP M426fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there. I have an HP LaserJet MFP M426fdw. It is currently configured to use LDAP and is working OK, but I'd like to configure it using LDAPS, or to make use of the "always use secure connection (SSL/TLS)" setting. I've been able to find very little info on this. Has anyone else been able to do this successfully?

This is from the web interface > Scan tab. Again, the printer works in regular LDAP, using port 389. Server authentication is set to Simple. The "Test e-mail lookup" feature works perfectly. When I change the server port option "Always use secure connection (SSL/TLS)", the web interface automatically changes from port 389 to 636. Under Networking > Certificates, I installed the CA Certificate from our CA server, and I can view the cert from the printer OK. But the test email lookup feature fails with a "Network contacts connection failure." Under Server Authentication requirements, I changed the settings from "Simple Credentials" to "Windows Credentials" and entered our domain name as required, but it still failed with "LDAP server authentication failed. Check settings."

I've been able to use this same cert for some of our other web services OK, but printers and copiers in general are giving me a lot of grief.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
