LaserJet Pro MFP M426fdw
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I have a similar problem seen by others, with HP Device Monitor running consistently at 70% CPU on my computer.

The instructions elsewhere on this site:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/HP-Device-Monitor-Constantly-Taking-70-88-of-CPU/td-...

suggest removing the HP software and installing the drivers from the HP device driver bundle on the Apple support site:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201465#HP

Alas, the LaserJet Pro M426mfp is not one of the devices listed in the bundle.

How should I proceed?
