T1200
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Designjet T1200 that recently during the power on self test would emit a loud clacking noise from the right hand side underneath of the LCD screen. After following the service manual for the T770/T1200 I was able to pop the  LCD case panel off and have a peak inside.

The noise seem to be coming from, what I assume, is essentially the waste ink box. From the sounds of it there was either a gear or something mechcanical that had either broke or stripped causing the POST to fail.

I ordered a replacement (Maintenance Kit 2) and followed the service manual on removing the side cover and installing the replacement kit, and then reassembled the unit.

My issue I'm currently facing is that when the unit now POSTs, it gets to about 94% and continously repeats a motion of moving the carriage of the waste box, back out, and then back on over and over.

Not sure if this is a normal procedure after replacing this part, or if the waste box was merely a victim of a greater issue.

I let the T1200 run for about 15mins and didn't get past 94%.
