DO NOT BUY for engineering plan plotting !!!

Plotting time is horrendous...  Genuine ink and cost of paper is a financially a losing process.

I just had 2 employees spend 6 hours plotting...  YES 2 !  .... to get 162 sheets plotted....  27 sheets - 6 sets - file combined was 50mb and it plotter can not handle it... .it takes awhile for it to process on software than suddenly the plotter will mess up and pretty many many incomplete plots sheet .  Wasting a ton of paper.  Plotters fault entirely.   SO one person plotting one at a time and managing the spool purges every time the plotter messes up...  the other sorting sheets and changing the excessive use of paper and resetting the plotter to help clear the issues.

If you choose to use after market ink, then HPClick software will NOT work.   The software is necessary to not have problems during plotting.

TO process a small plan set of 10 to 20 sheets can take 1/2 day to get good quality prints.

Processing PDF to print with Bluebeam or Adobe takes long enough but then the plotter fails and hangs up processing them too.
Large files over 8mb forget it....  you will be constantly rebooting machine, restarting the plotter, clearing printspool  folder, shutting spooler off and back on.....    etc.  just to get the HP T650 to refresh and recognize plotting again.

HPClick resolves this.....   but the cost of HP ink makes it a costly venture unless you can charge your client more than  $3.00 a sheet.

A local plot shop can do it for far less....  a client may feel swindled if you try.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

never have this issue a KIP plotter.  Oce plots the files fine too.
