Product: Samsung SCX-3205W
Operating System: Linux

My printer is Samsung SCX-3205W connected over Wi-Fi to my home network router.

I have just installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my PC, and uld_V1.00.39_01.17.tar.gz, downloaded from http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/SL-M4580FX/uld_V1.00.39_01.17.tar.gz

The printer is found and it prints. No issues. The scanner is not found in Skanlite and XSane in Ubuntu 18.04. The installation log contains no errors.

If I reboot into Kubuntu 16.04 (which uses the same driver), the scanner scans in both Skanlite and XSane.

How to I make the scanner work in Ubuntu 16.04 please?
