2430dtn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This isn't actually for the 2430dtn but it's the lastone I had this problem with. When installing a Printer connected via USB, the DOT4 or USB001 options are non-existent as ports to select in Windows 10. For this 2430 I somehow managed to find a standalone DOT4 installer that enabled to get this device working.  However, now that I have another issue, only a couple weeks later, that stand alone DOT4 installer is nowhere to be found.

I have a non-HP printer to install but it refuses to finish installing the drivers until I choose which port to connect to. I can't choose a pot because neither exist.  Since the HP one is the one I managed to get working, can anyone help me find the DOT4 installer or tell me how to get a freaking USB port available for printing with a USB connected printer?

DO NOT tell me to go the Add printer & scanner and do this and do that and "just simply select USB001" because there is NO USB001 or anything else to select. There are only a few Coms, a few LPT, FILE, a couple .pdf options, a couple IR options, a null, and a PORTPROMT. That's it. That's all. Nothing else.

I am honestly at the end of my rope so I hope to God someone can help me without making me jump through a million hoops because I've already spent far too much time on this. It's a **bleep** printer. Connected via USB. This isn't, or at leat shouldn't be, rocket science any more. 30+ years of connecting printers to computers and it's still a friggen night mare.
