Product: Laserjet4L
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a very old but much loved laserjet 4L which has worked very well and up until now I have not had a problem.

This morning it printed about 20 sheets full of parralel lines from top to bottom of the page without any input.

The PC to which it is connected was switched off but there was power to the printer. I have deleted the printer on the PC and un pugged teh data link but it randomly prints pages with parale lines.

I have searched for the possibility to reload teh firmware but cannot fins a site.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I might fix this proble.
