Product: HP Scanjet G4050
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Although it is reported that the HP Scanjet G4050 is not supported by Windows 10, I am able to run this scanner under the Readiris17 software application.  All I needed to  do was download and run setup_basic_G4050_14_5_0_1.exe from the following HP webpage:

Once this driver is loaded, Readiris17 is able to detect the G4050.  Readiris17 is an OCR software package that automatically converts text from paper documents, images or PDF files into fully editable files without having to perform all the tedious retyping work.
