ENVY Pro 6455
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There is some question when to power off a printer, and in particular the ENVY Pro 6455 since the power button is located on the back (out-of-sight, and usually out-of-reach).  Also, there is really no auto-off feature anymore since it disables as soon as you connect the printer to any PC or device.

From what I make of it, the printer is never powered off - unless you are going on a month-long vacation or so.  Here is a link which I think best describes it:

https://cartridgeworld.com/blog/should-you-keep-your-printer-on-or-off/#:~:text=The%20difference%20b....

Turning on the printer triggers a maintenance cycle and uses ink.  Keeping the printer on helps preserve the printing heads and extends the life of the printer.  The most efficient ink consumption and best print head maintenance is therefore to leave the printer on.

The user guide says something like, "turning off the printer will prevent ink from drying out", but I don't think it is accurate and most likely applies to not using the printer for a long time.  Further, the user guide is for the "6400 series" and so everything in it is only 50% accurate for any particular model.

Face it: The power button is hidden and auto-off feature disabled, so what does that mean ?
