HP Recommended
Designjet 500 24"
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have a second hand Designjet 500 24" printer.

There are white lines on the prints, a double white line, a space, then again.

I have tried the advanced paper calibration and get exactly the same effect.

I have changed the black print head and it made no difference.

I replaced the belt because the old one was disintegrating.

I don't know if the problem existed before the belt change.

Any advice would be gratefully received.  Thank you.

Further Information:

Today I have performed all the paper advance tests as detailed in the manual, Page 1-17, and it looks like the encoder disk is damaged.

Images attached.
