HP Recommended
Product: HP deskjet 3720
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I bought a Deskjet 3720 in Europe which uses HP304 cartridges.  It is a very good printer and scanner.  I am now in Australia where HP recommends HP65 cartridges. I buy those and they fit fine and look identical, but the printer won't recognise the cartridge.  Apart from the obvious question as to why HP would sell different, non-compatible cartridges for the same printer in different geographies, is there anything I can do to make my printer recognise the HP65?
