The printer is set for wi-fi access on a VLAN, so the one user in that office can print with a cable. However, it keeps setting its Wi-Fi-Direct function ON after a power-off restart. I have to keep turning it OFF at the display menu, because in that mode the printer has a very strong broadcast signal on the same radio band, thus causing loss of signal for anyone connected to that AP. The printer then appears "offline" because the signals compete against each other. Then the access point tries to find a new channel with less interference (difficult in our building), so it drops all the connections that it had at the time. The printer needs to be restarted after it has gone offline (nothing else restores it), but when it powers up again, the Wi-Fi Direct function is on again, and broadcasting its commendably strong signal, when we don't want it to be broadcasting at all! We just want this printer to have Wi-Fi Direct OFF and to STAY OFF! Very frustrating!
