Product: HP M454dn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Purchased a brand new HP M454dn and installed it as a network printer.

The connected Win 7 PC printed all file formats without error.

The connected Win 10 pro 64 PC cannot print any photo formats on the new printer using the default Windows Photos viewer.  I get the following error:

                    Your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem 0x80010105

The Win 10 PC can print all other files formats on the new printer - just not picture files.

The Win 10 PC can print all photo format files when using Paint - just not the Photos app.

Obviously, something is wrong with Win 10/Photos or the HP driver... but what??

I tried deleting and reinstalling the HP driver and hard rebooting both the printer and Win 10 PC - no luck.

Both Windows 10 and the HP printer firmware is up-to-date.

Ran the MS troubleshooter - no luck.

 

I could not find anything recent on this issue in the HP Community.

Is this another Win 10/HP driver flaw that is waiting for a fix from someone?

I don't want to waste anymore time on this if it is a fruitless quest.
