HP Recommended

I help my car mechanic with computer hardware and sorftware issues. The PA State Inspection software mandatorilly must run on a Windows 2000 platform (government proactivity at work). His old Oki printer died, so he purchased another HP LaserJet Pro M102. Installation software that came with the printer is not compatible. The earliest driver I can find is Windows XP, 32 bit. I will try an install tomorrow. Any thoughts on options behond this?
