I recently acquired this printer for free. It seems to work great - no complaints.
I do seem to have a network anomaly with it however - as odd as it is.
Although this particular machine isn't 'wireless' (as far as I can tell) every time I put power to it, I get a new icon on my network identified as - DIRECT-6E-HP ENVY 5000 series. In order to be certain that it's the hp psc 2410, I unplugged it, and sure enough, the moment I powered it down, the icon disappeared from the network. I've also checked the mac address against my router - and it's there under 'wireless' connections.
So... any thoughts? It is possible that someone put a wireless card from another printer in this machine? If it is wireless, how do I access that function, as none of the software for the 2410 shows anything about 'networking' - wired or wireless. I'm open to suggestions...
Thanks in advance for any directions offered!
