x360 Convertible 15-dq1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I could not access and work with office jet pro 6978 through other latop computers except my new HP pavilion x360 Convertible 15-dq1xxx.

The HP did not provide me with the installation disc for the this All in One device (pro 6978). I was able to find the driver software from hp.123.com before to install this printer/scanner/fax machine on other computers. However, the new HP laptop with Windows 10 home version cannot complete the set up. I tried HP doctor software. It fixed the issue but when going to HP printer/scanner/ fax to do a print or scan job it goes to device.exe and asked me for doing the things over and over again. In the end, a message about unbaling to activate and complete the registration pups up although in my HP account both devices, printer and laptop have been registered already.  I tried the built-in windows driver installation but it did not work either.

I am frustrated why HP did not give me the installation disc to make the things easy.
