Product: hp laser printer

instead of gently 'pressing' the old ink cartridge to replace with a cartridge, my daughter 'moved the white piece of plastic on top of the black box in printer which holds the ink cartridges to get the old cartridges out.  Now, the printer does not work.  When i looked "inside the printer" there are no paper jams and the white plastic piece on top of the black box which holds the ink cartridges is definitely no aligned straight.  White piece is slanted.  Any help would be greatly appreciated if anyone else has had this issue....  Thank you in advance
