My daughters elitebook is powering up but the screen is remaining black. The caps lock button is displaying 3 slow flashes and two fast flashes. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi @KatyJ1974

“3y2” indicates a problem with the memory RAM. You should open the laptop, and if it has two memory modules, remove one and test it, then swap them. Do the same for the other slots—swap the memory modules in each slot.
