Pavilion d6-1355-dx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have an HP Pavilion D6-1355dx with originally Windows 7; however, recently I installed Windows 10 preview and run well, but with the last update Build 10122 I am having problem with the "Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad Driver" which is given the following error "DPC_WATCHDOG VIOLATION". I did uninstalled and try to installed the old one without success. Any advice or guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the time you are taking in reading this post.

P.S: Under the Operating system I use MS Windows 8.1 (64-bit) because there is no options for Windows 10. 😞

Build 10122 did have some issues.

I recommend installing build 10125 or the current Windows Technical Preview build 10130.

If you still have problems with the synaptics device, try installing the driver in compatibiliyty mode.

@BAK1119

Did one of  the new Windows 10 Technical Preview builds resolve the issue?

There is no option to put in Windows 10 because at the moment a release to manufacture (final) build)is not available.

Here's more info on this if anyone is interested.

 In a nutshell, nothing has been done to fix this and it's still happening.

 Installing the last driver that is compatible fixes the problem.

 But then WU comes along and constantly tries to install the problem driver.

 I don't know if it's a problem with W10 or a poorly written driver or both, no comments from Microsoft or the people from Synaptics.

 Other issues also cause this problem, like older USB devices, so expect to have to deal with this when W10 is rolled out officially at the end of July.

 The other problem that happens is when WU tries to download and install the problem touch pad driver, it shoots the CPU usage to 70% !

 I'm running an older quad core 2Ghz. processor, but I don't know what WU is doing where it drives the processor to use 70% of juice.

 From where I stand now, W10 is looking very problematic.
