HP notebook 15-f387wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Does anyone know how i can get my Bluetooth capabilities back. I lost my dvd/cd when my laptop went down the first time and bought an external. Now all of my Bluetooth capabilities are missing completely. I had to reinstall windows to get my pc working again but things were left out. I should not have to buy anything that was there in the first place.
If i am unable to get these things back in , i will have to go with another brand. This is ridiculous , two HP laptops go down right after warranty?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your model.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04936075

It never came with built in bluetooth, or that feature would have been listed along with the 802.11b/g/n (1x1) wireless connectivity specification.

The parts list for your model confirms that no bluetooth hardware is installed, as the Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg/n 1x1 WiFi adapter is wifi only, not a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

Mine did and it went by the wayside just like the dvd cd rom. Doesn't matter. Check again and thanks for your help.

You're very welcome.

Sorry but I am not checking again.

Your notebook never had built in bluetooth.

It is absolutely impossible for your notebook to have bluetooth with the RTL8188EE 802.11bg/n 1x1 WiFi adapter.

Now, if the parts list and specs page are both incorrect, and your notebook has a different model wifi adapter, then please let me know what model the wifi adapter is.
