PC failed to boot and threw a 201 error, memory. Per best practices I reset the memory modules to make sure they were seated. When that did not work, I tried booting with one memory stick, then the other to see if one was bad. Tried different combinations. All of these new procedures led to a new error message on startup: Error: No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed.
Next I bought brand new memory and after install same result: Error: no boot disk.
lastly, I tried booting up with another hard disk that is a working Windows hard drive, same error.
seems like everything changed when I removed memory and error went from 201 to no disk.
id appreciate anyone’s thoughts here.
