HP Envy x2 Detachable PC 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a problematic SSHD and I was forced to buy a new one, meaning I replaced the tabled Hard Disk and also the operating system.

However following a clean install of windows 10 64 bit, My Battery Icon suddenly at 47% during the new installation, showed "Plugged in, Not Charging"

I did a diagnotics test on the battery and I got this Message

Failure ID

OTU7VS-77D8ML-MFGH6K-C0D503

PRODUCT ID - K2N97PA#ABG

I have tried uninstalling Microsoft ACPI and AP buttons, restarted the machine, except disconnecting the battery, but the problem has persisted. opening the tablet to remove the battery is not a very smart option now.

Somebody advice.

sincerely

As I understand you are having a battery charging issue on your HP notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

You've performed the hardware test and it resulted with the failure ID: OTU7VS-77D8ML-MFGH6K-C0D503

I did try to find the exact failure code, unfortunately this seems to be incorrect, I would suggest you try to run the test again and capture the failure ID.

Once you have the failure ID, You can contact our HP phone support for having the part replaced/have the unit repaired.

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get the phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
