tl;dr Download from the support center, Ralink (Meadiatek) drivers doesnt install on HP ProBook 450 G1
Hello, recently the business I work for bought a HP ProBook 450 G1 (i5-4200m,8gb,750gb,amd card with 1gb version) and I have to set it up. They also bought Windows 8. So I installed windows 8 on the computer but when I go to network adapters, thereš only bluetooth and wired connection adapters. So I downloaded the Ralink 802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN Adapter Driver from here and when I try to install it, the installer opens up for a second and then closes down, at first I thought maybe the instalaltion is in the background, but that wasn't the case. Then I tried to download Mediatek 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo drivers from the net here, they installed and show up in the Programms and Features, but the WiFi adapter did not appear in the adapters menu. neither does it appear in the Device Manager. Also no driver disc came with the purchase.
Can someone please help me? The only way to connect the PC to the internet is to use WiFi right now.
