I am trying to get this device imaged with our base Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit image. I am getting the following errors:
- In Device Manager, the Generic Bluetooth Adapter is throwing the error "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43)"
- In the Event Viewer, under Windows Logs - System, I am seeing the following pop up every 20 seconds or so: "The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded." EventID is 17 and the Source is BTHUSB.
I have tried many different drivers, both from HP and Intel and have applied two different hotfixes (KB982046 and KB980396) based on various other websites recommendations. I have tried the oft-repeated recommendations of disabling/re-enabling; uninstalling/scan for hardware changes & applying drivers; shutting down (unplug) for several minutes and restarting system. Currently, I am only applying the NIC and USB drivers and am still seeing this problem, although I have also applied all drivers with no difference.
A couple of questions:
- Has anyone else seen this and fixed it?
- Could the USB drivers be the issue? I am using the USB drivers otherwise I cannot use my keyboard/mouse.
- Any other suggestions?
