Product: HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi!

 

I have been using this Notebook PC for almost an year now and it never happened ever before with me. While I was working on the notebook it got shut down all of a sudden. Everything stopped working which includes screen, the power light indicator, hard disk led indicator, all but fan. Fan was working on a speed much more than normal. 

 

I tried pressing the power key, long pressing the power key to force stop the system, also I tried plugging in charger, but nothing changed. It did not even display power cable connected indicator. It was so wierd to me. My battery was around 40% at the time of shut down. 


Finally I removed the battery and inserted it again to restart the Notebook. 

 

I just was to know what went wrong, and why did it happened all of a sudden. Since it was the first time, I don't want it to happen again in future. So if anyone can tell me why it stopped all of a sudden. Is there any log which gets recorded in PC for such events, i can give it to you but you need to tell me where would I find it.
