Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After downloading the free Winows 10, I reverted back to Windows 7 Home Premium I then this week loaded up Win 10 again from the Windows Media Tool.

All functions in Windows 10 are working OK however it now takes over 5 minutes to boot up. First the Winows Logo appears, then it hangs on a black screen (no cursor or scrolling ring) for about 4 minutes until the Welcome screen finally boots up.

I have tried just about every fix shown on various forums (run scandisk, checked drivers, done HP diagnostics, etc. etc.) and yet the boot problem still remains.

I hope somebody knows of a simple fix for this most irritating problem as I don't want to have to go back to Windows 7 where the boot time is still good.
