If there is any color being printed then blue horizontal streaks occur across the whole page. If black text only is printed then there are no streaks. The streaks are approximately 22mm apart which would indicate the toner cartridge. The cartridge though is at 70% and there have not been any issues until now. The troubleshooting refers to both dots and streaks. When it refers to "dots," it indicates the cartridge. When it refers to streaks, it just says it could be something else. It doesn't say what. (I'm guessing transfer belt?)
Anyway, currently waiting on a new cartridge to test. Ran the print quality page and the streaks appear in all the colors except the top band which is a salmon color.
The service manual says:
"If dots appear in more than one group...If the dots are all the same color, replace that toner cartridge"
And
"If streaks appear in multiple color bands...A component other than the toner cartridge is probably causing the problem."
Our problem could fit both of these troubleshooting options.
Our first step of course will be to swap out the toner cartridge, but any other ideas out there?
Thanks
